Many still feel that black actors are stuck in stereo type roles. With box office sell outs like Producer Tyler Perry, who tries to put black actors in a common place and/or situation in his films, there are still those who murmur, tagging black films as being too blackish. Once upon a time before all the Black flix such as, 'Super Fly', 'The Mack' and 'Cleopatra Jones' craze during the seventies, there were some good solid actors, on broad way. What do you think, have black actors grown from the black-exploitation era, or are Good actors an extinct?

Let's see...I'm 56,and straight out of Central Casting with my bald,brawny,beefy-
I'm 5'9'',214 lb.-classically handsome black cowboy looks,DEFINITELY un-black
accent(I was told by another black man that I sound like a "dumb good ol' boy and a "Southern Woody Allen" who was hiding my "true black voice"-I'm attempting to be-
come a Country singer/song-writer)and,as noted,my wish to launch a Country music
career means that nobody remotely like me can be seen on TV or the movies, thus
starting Friday,I'm begin writing a novel about a black garage band rocker who,at age 58,is getting a second shot at stardom after racism killed his first career.
After I finish the tome,I intend to pitch it to Hollywood producers, one of whom
hopefully interested enough to turn it into a screen play with Yours Truly as the
lead character. If there are any African-American actors posting here, how 'bout
some advice?
