A warning to reporters who try to get Matthew Perry to talk smack about his former "Friends" co-stars: He will make fun of you.

 

Perry was promoting his new ABC sitcom "Mr. Sunshine" at a panel at the Television Critics Association Sunday when one reporter attempted to bait the actor into insulting his "Friends" co-star David Schwimmer, but Perry wasn't having it. A transcript of the awkward exchange, which was the talk of the conference, reveals how Perry turned the tables on the reporter:

 

REPORTER: "For Matthew: All the 'Friends' are sort of cooking along pretty well these days, except, it seems, for David. We don't see him very much."(read more)

Roman Polanski was declared a free man on Monday after Switzerland rejected a U.S. request to extradite him to be sentenced for having sex in 1977 with a 13-year-old girl.

The Swiss government blamed the decision on U.S. authorities, saying they had failed to address defense arguments that the 76-year-old filmmaker had actually served his sentence before fleeing Los Angeles three decades ago. (read more)Roman Polanski

The 54-year-old actor has been in the headlines recently after recordings of him screaming racist insults and threats during an argument with his then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were leaked to a gossip website.
Mel Gibson has been dumped by his management agency.
Oksana later claimed that Mel had been violent towards her several times, on one occasion giving her a black eye and knockin several tig out her teeth. Mel's representatives have refused to comment on the allegations. Yesterday, the star's long-term agent William Morris Endeavor confirmed Mel was no longer a client. Mel's longterm agent Ed Limato passed away last week, and The Hollywood Reporter claims the agency's boss Ari Emanuel made the decision to drop Mel. Ari has reportedly been trying to get rid of the actor since his public anti-Semitic tirade in 2006. (read more)
